So this week I said goodbye to Aalborg and Jylland, and said hello to Sjælland and Frederiksberg!

My new companion is Søster Sørensen and I love her! We are going to have it good. I also have the temple in my area, and I live in Valby.

Here’s another bonus recipe from Milly. I’m leaving it just as she sent it, apparently using some sort of online translation tool, because it was so much fun to guess what she means! Please note that Æbleskiver literally translates to “apple slice” – so when you get to that part of the recipe and wonder where that came from, you’ll know!
4 dl buttermilk
250 g wheat flour (about 4 1/4 dl)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 1/4 dl jam
Come buttermilk and egg yolks in a glass jar with flour, soda , sugar and salt . Blend at fastest speed for about 2 min . or until the mixture is smooth. Let the dough rest , covered, for about ½ hour . Whip the whites until very stiff and fold them gently into the batter . Pour example batter into a jug.
Let dumpling pan be well warmed up and got a little fat in the holes. Fill holes ¾ full with batter and bake apple slices moderate heat – turn them occasionally with a skewer . Remove the apple slices on the pan, keep warm and sprinkle them with powdered sugar .
